This is a vital senior management role and is responsible for leading and developing the Group’s largest and most complex site, manufacturing 300 live SKU’s, delivering a culture of best practice, optimising efficiencies, cost control, product quality and customer service.
The Opportunity
* Reporting to the Supply Chain Director you will have full site responsibility, charged with strategically developing and executing a 3 year plan for achieving maximum operational efficiency and resource utilisation with an annual capital investment of c.£12million
* Managing over 650 staff, your direct reports will include the Operations, Technical, H&S, Planning, Finance and Engineering departments. You will also work very closely with customers, buyers, and development technologists to deliver long term growth with organisations
* This is the largest and most complex site within the organisation and you must provide an absolute focus on leadership, developing the senior management team and creating a culture based on customer service, continuous improvement, quality and best practice.
Your Credentials
* You will likely have extensive experience within the food manufacturing sector with a strong management style allied with a hands-on approach to leading change, with the ability to create a high performing team through challenge, engagement and development
* Essential requirements will include a strong record in driving operational performance, capital investment and continuous improvement programmes and of delivering significant improvements in manufacturing reliability, performance and customer service
* You will be results-driven, highly numerate and financially aware with excellent communication skills and the ability to present at board level.
