professional capacity building services to community driven organizations. Our services include grant
management, project coordination, proposal development, strategic planning and
governance/policy audits. You can read more at sharpsix.com but here are few other things to note:
- ethics
and passion are paramount in our work; dedication to ‘greater good’ causes
is essential for those working with us and our awesome, world changing and
boundary pushing clients - the
business was started in August 2013 by Rachel and is currently in a
strategic growth stage - we
currently have 1 person full time and 2-3 doing various iterations of part
time contract work - we
don’t do event planning but sometimes planning events is part of some
bigger projects we do - we
have a micro lending ‘side project’, Sharp Solutions, that we think is
pretty innovative & fun
TO JOIN US: Qualities a successful
candidate will have and responsibilities they will hold:
- you
like to laugh - you
are professional, honest, trustworthy and reliable, and a bit of a
firecracker - you
have minimum one year experience in a supportive role to an executive,
manager or other professional - you
want a good mix of responsibility and authority, like to take initiative
when given space to do so, and are able to differentiate your work style
for things that can just be done vs. things that need more iterative,
collaborative process - you
get a rush from organizing something well. Give us examples. - you
have solid bookkeeping skills (we use Freshbooks; would be cool if you’ve
used Freshbooks) - you

can type 75-100+ WPM with minimal errors - you
can pick up the phone and speak with anyone in an intelligent and

‘correct’ font - you
can use and hopefully design custom Excel spreadsheets - you
have basic web editing skills (mostly WordPress) - you
like productive and well run meetings and you are good at coordinating
