MSH seeks a Senior Technical Advisor, Family Planning to provide oversight and technical direction for the anticipated regional planning and reproductive health program aimed at increasing the access and use of family planning services.
This position is contingent upon project award and funding.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior Technical Advisor (STA), Family Planning will work in close collaboration with the Chief of Party and the program’s technical staff to provide strategic inputs to the Program’s activities. In collaboration with the program’s M&E Officer, the STA, Family Planning will monitor program results and will be responsible for ensuring that the program provides high quality technical services, meets its annual targets and is maximizing positive outcomes. The STA, Family Planning will serve as Chief of Party (COP) when the COP is away from the program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Public Health or other relevant discipline.
• At least 7 years supervisory experience with USG funded international health project design, monitoring and evaluation methodologies including qualitative and quantitative skills, and 5 years managing Family Planning programs.
• Experience in directing managing and implementing and evaluation large, complex projects involving the collection, analysis, and presentation of health and population data that covers the full range of technical, field and administrative skills required for successful implementation of this type of program.
• Demonstrated experience in West Africa, particularly Togo and Burkina Faso.
• Well-organized, attentive to detail, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Works well independently and in teams; proactive in anticipating work requirements and problem solving.
• Fluency in French and English.
