Job Responsibilities:
• Complete the close out of all production orders. Investigate and rectify any significant anomalies. Review all open work orders.
• On a daily basis resolve production related I-Docs, Cogis, Inventory reconciliation issues (SAP v MESI).
• Carry out inventories and cycle counts, e.g. : daily for packaging materials, weekly on assembly license plates, weekly on pre steri finished packaging orders.
• Verify the counts for NS lots at packaging. Adjust as required for sampling.
• Collate all scrap data (from moulding to assembly) for inclusion in warehouse reports, assembly work orders, etc.
• Manage the annual inventory count for manufacturing, and also the year end production cut off procedures
• Liaise with QA department daily re packaging lots not moved onto sterilization, lots in QI. Liaise with sterilization and warehouse to ensure smooth flow of 10M units per day through the plant.
Overview compliance of same.
• Manage held materials ( minimize returns to vendors)
• Mentor the shift material handlers, and resolve problems they encounter.
• Back up Senior Process Engineer (PM) for master data where it effects production work orders
• Participate in continuous improvements projects within the plant.
• Drive new initiatives as appropriate in the area of electronic batch recording
• Be a key member in the SAP Upgrade team (demand to supply portion)
Skills, Abilities and Education
• Third Level Diploma or Degree in a related subject area.
• A history of undertaking further training courses and qualifications would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a similar role.
• Thorough knowledge of ERP (e.g. SAP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Experience of ERP and/or MES implementation or significant upgrade.
• Thorough knowledge of production management principles
• Strong working knowledge of GMP/Regulatory requirements
• Highly computer literate. Experience in software development would be advantageous.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. An ability to prepare and present reports is essential.
• Strong ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Strong, demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills are essential
• Proactive – someone who anticipates potential problems and is a step ahead.
