Rwanda housing Authority (RHA) intends to apply the funds from ordinary budget to eligible
payments under the contract for taxi hire for transport of staff in Kigali during the daily work.
Rwanda housing Authority (RHA) hereby invites interested taxi owners (minimum four Vehicles permanently available) to submit their bids taking into consideration of the following conditions:
• Prices should be quoted in Rwanda Francs per distance covered and tax inclusive but the price should not exceed current RURA fares per distance.
• The taxi should be in good conditions proven by a valid \”Certificate issued by the Automobile Control center of Rwanda National Police and Should be available whenever needed;
• The taxi owner should be responsible for taking up the appropriate insurance cover for the hired taxi ;
• In case of mechanical failure or any other reason, the taxi owner shall provide an alternative vehicle;
• The vehicle will operate in Kigali City and if the Client wants the vehicle to go upcountry, the taxi owner will charge depending on extra costs stipulated in the Directive from Rwanda Utility and Regulatory Agency (RURA)
• Payment shall be made in Rwanda francs at the end of month on submission of the invoice;
• Vehicle will be used from Monday to Friday during working hours namely 7:00 am to 5:00 pm with the possibility of the week end use; Payment for overtime (from 5:00pm onwards on working days and over the weekends) will be done on rate stipulated by RURA Policy;
• The bids should include the RURA authorization for taxi;
• The successful owner will sign a one year contact (renewable) with the Rwanda Housing Authority.

• Interested taxi owners may obtain further information at the address below from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm during the working days;
• Bids must be submitted to the RHA procurement office, ECOBANK Building, 9th Floor, not later than 27/08/2012 at 9H00 a.m. The opening of the Proposals will be held in the RHA main conference room the same day, at 10H00 a.m.
