COORDINATOR OF THE SECOND NATIONAL WIDE SURVEY OF DRUG RESISTANCE TUBERCULOSIS
IN RWANDA.
The National TB Control Programme will conduct the second national wide survey
of drug resistance tuberculosis in Rwanda and would like to recruit one
coordinator to fulfil the duties described below:
Title: Coordinator.
Location: All country.
duration: Six months.
Supervisor: Director of MDR-TB Unit.
Reports to: Head of TB & ORD division.
Under supervision of the Director of MDR-TB Unit, the Coordinator will be
responsible to supervise and coordinate all activities related to the second
national wide survey of drug resistance tuberculosis in Rwanda.
Detailed responsibilities
include:
– Supervises and coordinates activities related to the second national wide
survey of drug resistance tuberculosis in Rwanda.
– Coordinate all logistics required during the field activities.
– Ensure linkage between the CdT, NRL and the TB&ORd division.
– Send report to the Head of TB&ORd division on implementation of
activities, data collection and data quality on any encountered problems.
– Excellent knowledge of administrative system of Rwanda.
– Any other duties as assigned by the hierarchy.
– Provide a weekly cluster summary report to the director of MdR-TB Unit.
Conditions required:
– Be of Rwandese nationality
– Have at least a bachelor’s degree in public health or statistics or nursing
or epidemiology or social sciences or other close related discipline.
– At least two years experience in operational research(certificate of the
latest research institution)
– Have exercised a function of supervisor in household survey or field
coordinator in health activities
Other conditions required
– Ability to work in a team, under pressure and organize a team work
– Knowledge of TB issues (detection, diagnosis, treatment) and TB/HIV
collaborative activities
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Fluency in Kinyarwanda and French or English
– Good knowledge of computer skills (Excel, Word and Power point)
