Job Title: Reservation officers
No. Positions: Seven
Location: Field based/headquarter
Reports to: Warden Accounts
Salary Scale: UWA 07
Duration: 4 years (Renewable according to performance)
Age Limit: Below 30 years
Main purpose of the Job:
Provide information to customers on UWA services and attend to client’s needs.
Key result areas
• Provide tourist information about the Protected Area (PA) and surrounding areas.
• Provide an effective Customer” Care and reservation service to visitors and safari inquiring visitors to Protected Areas
• Effectively market and promote Tourism attractions within the PA, select appropriately targeted tourism markets domestically, regionally and internationally.
• Receives and receipts revenue generated from PA activities.
• Provide hospitality related services and disseminate effective information needed to enhance tourism/visitor experience in the PA’s.
• Maintain a visitor’s register.
• Compile visitor’s statistics.
• Performs any other official duty that may be assigned by management from time to time.
Job requirement
Academic qualifications and experience:
A good bachelor’s degree in Tourism or an equivalent training in Tourism, with at least 0? years working experience. Other competences
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
• In addition to English, fluency in any other international language is an added advantage.
• Simple statistical analysis skills necessary.
• Computer literacy is a must, knowledge and use of cashless payment transactions is also an added advantage.
Additional information:
• The job incumbent will be based in remote areas of the Conservation Area where environmental conditions and challenges can sometimes be harsh.
Successful applicants must be willing to undergo paramilitary training when called upon.
