Eligibility:
-International
applications will be considered for this position.
-Applicants are expected to have: a good first degree in Law, Philosophy, or a
closely related discipline; a doctorate in Law or Medical Ethics; extensive
knowledge of and a strong interest in the regulation of assisted human
reproduction; and a track record of demonstrable research excellence in law or
philosophy.

are seeking a Research Associate to work with Professor Rosamund Scott (King’s
College London) and Professor Stephen Wilkinson (Lancaster University) on a
Wellcome Trust funded programme entitled The Donation and Transfer of Human
Reproductive Materials. The post-holder will be based at King’s College London,
in the Centre of Medical Law and Ethics, and will work under the direction and
supervision of Professor Scott.The role will facilitate and advance the
research programme’s aims and outputs. The post- holder will be expected to
work flexibly in a number of different areas to achieve this. He or she will
work predominantly on legal, international, and ‘horizon scanning’ aspects of
the programme, but will also be required to engage with the relevant ethical
issues.The Centre of Medical Law and Ethics, within the Dickson Poon School of
Law, is a leading academic centre of research and teaching in medical law and
ethics, the first in the United Kingdom

Value: The appointment will
be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 6 scale,
currently £31,020 to £37,012, per annum plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
