Principle responsibilities – The Resources Director will ensure that:
The Board and Executive Management Team have the information and advice required, particularly in relation to finance, to control Red Kite’s affairs and achieve a high level of governance, financial security and probity.
Red Kite’s work is planned, executed, controlled, and monitored effectively to meet all of its objectives; protecting and maximising resources.
Red Kite continues to be a successful tenant led organisation which is demonstrated in its development, services and behaviours.
Red Kite makes an effective and innovative contribution to meeting accessible housing needs for current and future tenants.
Red Kite is successfully and positively represented and promoted, raising the profile of the provision of social and accessible housing.
Red Kite seeks and maximises new opportunities for business growth and funding.
Red Kite provides a high quality standard of housing and services, especially the Red Kite Standard, and constantly strives to meet changing demands.
Providing the strategic leadership for Red Kite to drive maximum benefit for its tenants from our resources.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Education – Professionally qualified accountant and of sufficient calibre to lead the finance function for a multi £m business.
Experience of working closely with Boards.
Track record of achievement at executive level.
Outstanding track record of leadership in a customer-facing organisation.
Experience of business planning and risk assessment.
Experience of leading non- finance related services.
Track record of leading, inspiring, motivating and developing staff at all levels to achieve excellence.
Evidence of business and commercial acumen combined with a passion to work closely with customers.
Experience of adopting an innovative and entrepreneurial approach whilst balancing risk and making sound decisions.
