Job Description

This position will require the successful applicant to wear several
hats, making the position very dynamic and exciting! As an operations
coordinator, the person in this role will be primarily responsible for
executing exceptional customer service related to the day-to-day
operations, which includes dispatching and coordinating service
requests, responding to customer and vendor inquiries by phone and
email; data entry and data analysis pertaining to waste and recycling
information gathered from our client database. Administrative duties
may include: creating content for monthly newsletter; managing vendor
relations; remote and/or on-site project management for new or
existing zero waste projects; contribute to the company’s marketing
strategies, which may include business development and social media
campaigns. Previous experience in the waste and recycling industry
will be a very valuable asset to bring to this position.

Reports to: Director of Operations, RecycleSmart Solutions

Hours: Full Time, Contract Position for One Year with option to renew.

Start Date: July 15 2014

Compensation: Salary position based on experience.

Position Duties
• Execute requests for waste and recycling services by phone or email;
• Data entry and analysis relating to waste and recycling metrics for
future and existing clients;
• Communicate and update existing clients regarding their waste and
recycling metrics using internal reporting which will be entered and
maintained by you;
• Develop and implement customized environmental awareness programs
for new and existing clients;
• Analyze and interpret environmental samples and data relating to
waste and recycling metrics;
• Prepare and send out marketing materials for new and existing customers;
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely manner;
• Update social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and blog);
• Enter new & edit existing customer data in CRM to ensure all
customer data is current and accurate;
• Communicate in a professional manner with team members, existing and
potential clients, and the general public;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
• High School Graduate Required; Post Secondary Education an asset;
• Two years of previous customer service experience;
• Experience in social media tools, platforms and practices;
• Previous experience in the waste and recycling industry.

• Hands-on team player with excellent people skills and professional
phone etiquette;
• Superior organizational ability and time management skills;
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining highest standards of
accuracy and quality;
• Detail oriented and accurate in execution, ability to work well
under pressure and with minimal supervision;
• Thrives in a fast-paced work environment, maintains a positive frame
of mind and sets an example of professionalism for other employees;
• Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
• Computer Skills – MAC OS; Microsoft Applications including power
point, word and an above average utilization of Excel;

Working Conditions
• Weekdays during regular business hours;
• Normal office environment with usual conditions, though may be
called on to work in various off-site locations;
• May be required to occasionally work on the weekend for event(s);
• Role requires the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
