1. Director
Objective of the position:
To provide overall professional and administrative leadership, vision, strategic direction, guidance and supervision of the operations of the College
• Provide strategic direction for the work of the College subject to the directives of the Board/Ministry
• Day-to-Day administration and Management of the College
• Ensure the implementation of policy decisions of the Board/Ministry
• Propose policies relating to the strategic directions of the College for consideration by the Board/Ministry
• Initiates programmes for training of Coaches, Sports Administrators/Managers and Physiotherapist
• Forster and promote cooperation and relationship between the College and other relevant national and international Organisations/institutions
• Submits annual and other periodic reports on the operations and activities of the College to the Board/Ministry
• Manage the resources (Financial, personnel, Logistics and Equipments) of the College for optimum performance
Required Skills or Experience
• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social sciences, preferably, Sports Administration, Management or any related discipline
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification relevant work experience, five (5) of which should be in a senior management position in a reputable institution
Competence and Skills:
• Strong managerial and organisational skills
• Ability to think broadly and demonstration of creativity
• Good leadership and decision making skills
• Strong administrative and supervisory skills
• Good team player
• Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer application
• Conversant with the Financial Administration Act; the Public Procurement Act and the internal Audit Act
• Conversant with current policies and regulations of the international Sports Organisations
2. Deputy Director (Administration)
Objective of the position:
To provide administrative, leadership and operational support for the achievement of the mandate of the College
• To ensure that approved policies in the organisation on employment, personnel records, training and wages and salaries administration are translated into good management practices and effectively carried out
• To ensure the availability of services facilities necessary to support the administrative and other functions of the college
• Initiates and implements productivity improvement schemes and cost reduction programme for the college
Required Skills or Experience
• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social sciences, preferably Management or Administration or any related discipline
• A minimum of twelve (12) years post qualification relevant working experience, five (5) of which must be in senior management position in a reputable organisation
Competence and Skills:
• Leadership, mentoring and management sills
• Strong quantitative and qualitative and analytical
• Communication, writing, reporting and presentations skills
• Proficiency in computer, financial, procurement, budgeting, auditing and labour regulation
3. Deputy Director (Technical)
Objective of the position:
To provide technical and leadership support for the achievement of the mandate of the College
• To ensure that approved policies in the organisation on technical issues are implemented for the smooth running of the college
• To ensure the availability of facilities necessary to support the implementation and other functions of the college
• Leads in the design, review and execution of technical programmes for the college
• To provide technical leadership for development of policies plans and programmes
Required Skills or Experience
• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration or any related discipline from a recognised institution
• A minimum of twelve (12) years post qualification relevant working experience, five (5) of which should be in technical capacity in a reputable institution
Competence and Skills:
• Familiarity with the operations and management of Sports programmes
• Knowledge of projects and programmes implementations and management
• Capacity to inspire and motivate people
• Communication, writing, reporting and presentations skills
• Knowledge in financial procurement, budgeting and auditing regulations
