Senior Research Officer
Must exhibit excellent professionalism- highly motivated, efficient and ability
to manage stress, Conversant with programming PDA gadgets using Visual CE
software, Should be conversant with statistical modelling i.e. multivariate
statistical analysis like multiple logistic regression analysis using SPSS and
or STATA softwares, Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Statistics with at
least 5 yrs research experience
Assist the Research Manager in day to day management of the research unit,
Assist in the identification and management of research consultants whenever
needed, Manage PSI Malawi Research data bank, Personal Digital Assistant data
collection tool programming using visual CE software, Training Research
Assistants on different data collection methodologies (Qualitative and
Quantitative) including technical use of PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant), Data
analysis for both quantitative and qualitative research studies and
disseminating study findings to the program teams, Designing study protocols
for both quantitative and qualitative studies and submitting research protocols
for ethical approval
