Prison Officer Hopkins Correctional Centre and Langi Kal Kal Prison

“Working
as a prison officer is nothing like what you see in the movies. I wanted a new
challenge but importantly, I wanted a job that was meaningful. You get lots of
training in this job and you never stop learning. No two days are ever the
same. Be prepared to be busy, there is always something to do.
I
started almost five years ago when my ch

ildren first started school and I
haven’t looked back.” Karen, Prison Officer
