Responsibilities
& Duties include:
• Coordinating job requirements with external customers, internal clients and
production supervisor.
• Using desktop publishing software packages to begin the artwork, text and
images to harmonize design plans.
• Operating pre--press equipment to shoot negatives and checking the equipment
to set correct exposure; set flash and/or burn time as required.
• Carrying out routine checks of digital proofing, valuating printed proofs,
checking and correcting them for quality.

• Preparing the product for reprographics and do the plate making.
• Operating computers, camera equipment and pre--press equipment.
• Inputting job requirements into tracking software to access time tracking
information about projects.
• Monitoring supply of inventory and preparing paperwork to order additional
supplies when needed.
• Operating printing production equipment according to safety rules and
maintaining safe working environment at all times.
