The Economics
Department at the University of Sussex is delighted to offer an annual Masters
scholarship for suitably qualified candidates from selected sub-Saharan African
countries on either the Development Economics MSc or Economics MSc.
The University of
Sussex is a leading higher education and research institution near Brighton, in
the south of England. Sussex was the first of the new wave of UK universities
founded in the 1960s. Its goal is to deliver teaching and learning programmes

Scholarship
Award: A
fee waiver of £15,100 plus a £10,000 maintenance grant. The scholarship
includes the full payment of the overseas tuition fee and a maintenance grant
of £10,000 but does not include travel expenses to and from the United Kingdom.

Economics MSc or Economics MSc to start in September 2017. - The
successful applicant will be required to sign a Scholar’s Agreement
provided by the Development & Alumni Relations Office.

Language Requirements: English
required for postgraduate study at Sussex, depending on your chosen
course. In terms of IELTS, the standard requirement is IELTS 6.5 overall,
with at least 6.0 in each section.
How to
Apply: In
order to be considered for this Scholarship, you must have been offered and
accepted a place on either the Development Economics MSc or Economics MSc to
start in September 2017.
They must indicate
in the finance section of your application to study at the University of Sussex
that you wish to be considered for this scholarship.
No separate
scholarship application is required.
