The AbbVie IBD
Scholarship Program awards students living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative
colitis and who strive to sustain an optimal level of wellness, allowing them
to excel and inspire others to do the same.
Supported by an educational grant from AbbVie and made available through
Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, these scholarships are available to post-secondary
students of any age who are living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis.
The AbbVie IBD
Scholarship Program for 2016 is now open.
Several postdoctoral
positions are available in the group “Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery”
headed by Prof. Tad Holak at the Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland.
The projects will be
carried out at the Jagiellonian University: Malopolske Center for Biotechnology,
Krakow, Poland. Successful candidates are expected to work in an
interdisciplinary and international team of researchers.
The posts are
fixed-termed with the proposed starting date in summer 2016. The amount of
payment is PLN 6000-8000/month depending on age and experience.

are open for pursuing the postdoctoral programme.

Eligibility: Applicants should have
their PhDs in molecular biology and/or biochemistry (or be about to submit a
relevant PhD). Experience in expression and purification of proteins,
mutagenesis is essential. Knowledge of pharmacogenomics profiling, chemical
genomics and proteomics (for example, SILAC etc.) would be a plus.
Nationality: Polish citizens can
apply for this position.
