Scholarship Description: A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available to work in a collaborative project between the Heart Research Follow Up Program and the Cardiovascular Research Institute at the University of Rochester to pursue translational research in Long QT Syndrome. The research will employ biochemistry, molecular biology and cellular electrophysiology techniques. Cellular data will be correlated to patient clinical phenotype available in the Long QT Registry to understand arrhythmia mechanism and risk factors in this syndrome. Extensive experience with patch clamp electrophysiology techniques is required.
