PhD Position for International Students in Spain

University offers a
3-years research grant to perform a PhD project at the Materials
Physics Center, joint center CSIC-University of the Basque Country, San
Sebastian, Spain. This position is open to applicants from all around the
world.

University’s aim is
to push forward the frontiers of knowledge in areas of expertise, by putting
together stable teams with a record of excellence in scientific research.

The candidate should
have a very good command over English language.

structure and dynamics of single-chain polymer
nanoparticles in crowded environments and shear flow

Scholarship
Award:
The
salary (before taxes) will start at 16,000 euros/year and will be smoothly
increased every year. After the 3 years, the candidate will be expected to
defend his/her thesis and to obtain his/her PhD degree at the University of the
Basque Country.

Eligibility:
University
is looking for a young motivated candidate fulfilling the following
requirements:
Background
in soft matter physics
MSc
degree in Physics, Chemistry or related fields, or expected to obtain it before
November 2016.
Experience
in computer simulations.

College
Admission Requirement
:
No requirements a priori. Non-Spanish academic titles held by the candidate
will be submitted to homologation by the University of the Basque Country.

Entrance
Requirement: No specific ones. It will be assessed with the rest of the
candidate’s CV.

English Language
Requirement: No certificate needed, though good oral and written level is
expected.
