Description
The
Data Analyst will be a key member of Pavement Management Services WA project
delivery team. Key responsibilities
Data Analyst will be a key member of Pavement Management Services WA project
delivery team. Key responsibilities
include coordinating, processing and
delivery of roadway pavement condition data in an efficient and quality
conscious manner.Other responsibilities include applying organisational and
prioritisation skills on a daily basis, problem-solving skills to project challenges,
providing critical analysis of data, recognizing opportunities for process
improvement, and communicating needs to the Project Manager.
Pre-Qualifications
- ability
to produce quality work and display a high attention to detail; - strong
teamwork skills including organisation, prioritisation, and multi-tasking; - ability
to work independently and solve problems as they arise; - strong
SQL skills being familiar with Visual Basic scripting; - strong
GIS skills in either ESRI or MapInfo and ability to work with and produce
range of spatial data sets; - very
strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows operating environment and with
MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access) and willingness to learn new
techniques.

skills in SQL and advanced MS Access to manipulate and automate data
manipulation; - Ability
to use GIS and GIS; - Ability
- Capable
of preparing and disseminating statistical information and reports for
internal and external parties; - develop
a thorough understanding of PMS’ data collection abilities, data/video
processing procedures; - analysis
of data, including the ability to assess whether data is both accurate and
valid; - preparation
of standard reports; - apply
technical skills to trouble-shoot/test current technologies and identify
new technologies offering benefit to the department; and - seek
continuous improvement opportunities in the various processes involved
within the department.

- come
from a Local Government organisation in a similar role; - a
working knowledge of Asset Management Systems, such as ROMAN and
similar software; - experience
communicating findings from data; - experience
with VBscript (with examples); - ability
to collaborate and communicate with multiple stakeholders; - debugging
and QA across all platforms; and - ability
to thrive in an ever changing & fast paced environment.
