controls and evaluate suitability of existing internal control design/measures,
Conduct risk assessments of assigned Department of Function areas in
established/required timeline, Conduct audit testing of specified areas and
identify reportable issues and dimension of risk, determine compliance with
policies and procedures, Recomm

coordinate implementation of new revised policies and procedures, Improve and
monitor systems and processes that ensure compliance with internal policies and
procedures, Prepare and submit an initial audit work plan for approval by
Executive Director and modify over time as needed, Plan and conduct audits of
cash-based systems including but not limited to payroll, advances, allowances,
loans, gifts and condolence payments, leave buy-out, cash receipts and
disbursements and payments to vendors and recipients of social/economic
support, Prepare detailed audit findings that note policy and/or procedure
violations for the purpose of documenting information required for disciplinary
actions and corrective procedures, Perform ongoing spot checks of assigned
departments and function areas including warehouse, finance, HR, procurement and
various APZU programs, Compile and analyse data for the purpose of reviewing
spending patterns and preparing costs analyses of project expenditures, Work
with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of recorded
financial transactions, includes spot checks of cash counts, expenditures, bank
reconciliations, and financial procedures and authorisations, Research
discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation for the purpose of
ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures, Monitors APZU’s procedures and
transactions with the MOH and other govt partners to identify areas of risk and
recommend corrections and improvements, Monitor Stock in the warehouse

Strong
written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, Minimum of 3 yrs experience
in a similar position, Formal training and experience in bookkeeping/accounting
auditing and risk management required, Ability to communicate with diverse
groups, maintain strict confidentiality, meet deadlines and schedules, set
priorities and work with detailed information/data, Specific knowledge
including modern business office principles, practices and procedures,
pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or governing NGOs, Willingness to
travel to remote parts of the district with limited degree of infrastructure
development, Strong accounting and internal control process knowledge,
Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities, A Bachelor
Degree of Accountancy or equivalent
