The
primary purpose of this role is to support the Principal Chemist by providing
specialist technical expertise across the Group in all aspects of uranium
processing and analysis

Advise
on safety aspects of processing flowsheets and take part in hazop studies, and
Assist with process optimization and cost management at operating business
units, Perform laboratory test work in collaboration with consulting
laboratories, Assist with metallurgical and chemical commissioning of new
projects, Assist in the development of process enhancements for operating
projects, Assist with development of processing flowsheets, Assist in the
development of scopes for metallurgical and chemical test programs, Assist in
the development of processing concepts for existing resources, potential
acquisitions and joint ventures, Oversee the activities of external, third
party laboratories, Assist Marketing in establishing and administering
contracts by liaison with Converters’ technical personnel, Assist with the
development and maintenance of laboratory standards within the Group, Provide
guidance for analytical technique development, Assist with training and development
of personnel on all current and new projects, Provide a leadership and
mentoring role to the analytical laboratories within the Group  
Bachelor
of Science (Chemistry) is essential, Relevant Post Graduate qualifications
would be beneficial, Minimum of 10 yrs progressive experience (preferably in a
uranium mining environment) with at least 5 yrs in a supervisory role is
considered essential, Previous experience in Africa or an isolated environment
in similar circumstances is highly desirable, Strong leadership skills, Strong
communication, laboratory IT and documentation skills
