The Outdoor Council of Canada/Conseil Canadien de plein aire
(OCC/CCPA) is seeking a motivated individual to organize and promote
its outdoor leadership training courses in Ontario.
This is a casual/part-tim
e position. Hours may vary from 10 to 20
hours per week and is dependent on available funding.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Administration of the Camp Leadership Training program across Canada
requiring promotion of the program; responding to inquiries;
scheduling instructors; arranging travel; and teaching in the program.
• Promotion of Canadian Leadership Training program to the outdoor
leadership community in Ontario and the scheduling and administration
of instructor level courses across Canada.
• This work will be conducted from a home office and under the
guidance of the central office.
The ideal candidate will be an Ontario resident and have a solid
record of outdoor leadership and the supervision of others in an
outdoor leadership role to the degree that they can become an
instructor in the leadership program. Additionally they will have
demonstrated strong social and organizational capabilities.
