Duties and Responsibilities:
• Feed, provide water and bedding to chickens, goats and cows;
• Collect, wash and pack eggs;
• Milk goats;
• Clean up barn area and chicken coops;
• Set up daily livestock paddocks and move animals to pasture for grazing;
• Examine and observe animals for signs of illness, disease or injury
and alert supervisor for assistance;
• Trim weeds;
• Plant and harvest fruits and vegetables;
• Mow lawns and keep the farm environment tidy;
• Operate farm stand.
Qualifications:
• Pleasant demeanor, hardworking, detailed-oriented, reliable and responsible;
• Able to work independently with little guidance;
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic;
• Experience working with farm animals and produce;
• Knowledge in organic farming is an asset.
