One Acre Fund is an agricultural NGO that is innovating a new way of helping
farm families to achieve their full potential. In six years in Rwanda, we have
grown to serve 100,000 farm families with more than 1,000 full-time field staff.
We are Rwanda’s fastest growing professio
nal organization. To help manage this
growth, we have recently created a new function within our structure: The
Operations Innovation Team. To support this team in its ambitious goals,
we are looking for “Special Projects Associate” to start working for us as soon
as possible.
Your Duties
• The Special Projects Associate will be responsible to lead
a team of field officers who are running field activities in an agricultural
context in rural Rwanda
• Create, plan and implement field experiments and trials
• We expect you to actively participate in generating and
evaluating new ideas about improving and innovating Tubura’s Field Operations
• Making sure communication between you and your team, as well
as with other implementing partners runs smoothly and effectively
• Manage, analyze, and report on data collected from the
field
• You will be responsible to build the capacity of the
project team members through weekly meetings and leadership practices.
Our Requirements
• A university degree in agriculture, business, management,
social sciences, community development or a related field
• Ideally 1-3 years of experience working with farmers or
community development projects
• Experience in implementing trials or pilot projects is an
added value.
• Fluent knowledge of Kinyarwanda and very good ability to
speak and understand French or English
• Solid computer skills regarding e-mail, internet usage, and
Microsoft Word and Excel
• Demonstrated leadership ability, problem solving skills,
and a positive work attitude
• A high degree of integrity and the proven competency to
handle people related matters would make you the ideal candidate for this
position
