This
position is based at Nuplex’s Global Head Office which is conveniently located
in the heart of the North Sydney business district close to public transport
links.
Reporting
into the Global Head of Tax and the Group Accounting Manager this position
supports them in meeting necessary tax and financial compliance requirements as
well as improving financial systems and processes throughout all countries in
which Nuplex operates.
More
specific key aspects of this position include:
  • Ensuring
    tax compliance, payments and lodgements are met across the Nuplex Group
  • Preparing
    group tax returns and advising on any issues or concerns
  • Preparing
    group intercompany charges and allocations and providing guidance on
    finalising benefit analysis and other supporting documentation
  • Ensuring
    intercompany balances are reconciled
  • Providing
    a linkage between corporate and intercompany counterparts to ensure the
    balancing of intercompany accounts on a regular basis
  • Assisting
    group finance teams to meet tax and financial compliance
    • Preparation and review of corporate cost centre P&L
  • Review
    and preparation of group deferred tax calculations
  • Assisting
    companies with VAT / GST compliance and oversight of the Reuters One
    Source Software
  • Improving
    the delivery of accurate corporate tax and accounting information and
    maintaining efficient processes and controls
  • Assisting
    in the review of any key taxation issues and recommending appropriate
    solutions
To
be successful in this role applicants need to have the following:
  • Relevant
    tertiary qualifications (preferably with CA)
  • Strong
    financial accounting and system skills
  • Some
    background in tax matters within multinational corporations
  • Knowledge
    and application of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
  • Time
    management focus, highly numerate with good presentation and written
    communication skills
