Due
our desire to expand our operational capability in Australia and grow the
capabilities of both current and new staff, we seek the services of an
Assistant Project Manager for our operations in the ACT.
Ideally
suited to a recent graduate with commercial experience or an individual
transitioning from Defence into a commercial role, the successful candidate
will:
  • Be
    responsible for coordinating under the direction cost, schedule, risk, and
    technical performance of company based programs in the area of Cyber
    defence.
  • Coordinate
    with functional areas the preparation of proposals, business plans,
    proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and
    financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Interact
    (as required) with customer contacts for program activities, preparing for
    program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and
    technical performance.
  • Be
    responsible for supporting engineers assigned to the program as they
    develop design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product
    research, development, integration and test.
  • Support
    establishment of milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and
    schedules, supports the program manager in identifying program problems
    and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing
    contractual specifications.
  • Coordinate
    the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, contract,
    business management and administrative areas to produce business results.
It
is expected that the successful candidates possess:
  • Effective
    oral and written communication skills
  • Ability
    to liaise with multiple stakeholder at various levels of the organisation
  • Ability
    to work on multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Undergraduate
    degree in Business or Project Management
This
