1.
The specific works for the electrical Engineer include but not limited to:
  • Calculate
    and design electrical installations and provide solutions to electrical
    engineering problems.
  • Making
    sure projects meet electrical and construction safety regulations.
  • Produce
    and review electrical technical specifications and technical drawings
  • Researching
    suitable solutions for electrical issues, providing estimated costs and
    timescales for difference projects.
  • Contract
    management and supervision for the supply, installation and commissioning
    of electrical materials and equipment.
  • Liaise
    with local and international suppliers for electrical related items
  • Liaise
    with contractors on electrical matters
  • Attending
    meetings, writing reports and giving presentations to managers and his/her
    supervisor.
  • Conducting/participating
    in tests and commissioning of electrical equipment.
  • Recording,
    analyzing and interpreting test data
  • Prepare
    and conduct Quality Assurance and Control Procedures for electrical
    equipment.
  • Any
    other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Minimum Education Qualifications
  • At
    a least Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer, Master’s degree will be
    an added advantage.
3.
Required Experience
  • S/he
    must have five (5) years’ experience in the field.
  • Experience
    with hydropower plant and electrification projects
  • Experience
    preparing scope of supply and employer’s requirements is essential.
4.
Other Skills
  • High
    level of professionalism
  • Very
    good Inter personal and communication skills
  • Ability
    to deliver under minimum supervision
  • Ability
    to function as team player
  • The
    candidate shall speak fluently English and Kinyarwanda, French knowledge
    is an added value.
