Essential Duties:
• Develop and administer Newmont Ghana’s Programs to prevent and control loss due to emergency situations such as fire, hazardous chemicals, underground mine resource and other
• Ensure all site emergency response equipment are maintained
• Conduct fire extinguisher training for the sites in conjunction with L&D
• Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System and participate in HSLP in system audits

Required Skills or Experience
• A degree and graduate diploma in Health, Safety and Loss Prevention or Emergency Response is preferred
• Demonstrated effective performance in achieving or exceeding agreed targets
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislative requirements
• Good analytical and interpersonal skills
