Okanagan is looking for a Creative Writer to join our highly successful team in
the sunny Okanagan! Work in a fast-paced, creative environment during the week,
then kick back for some serious playtime on the weekends. The Okanagan boasts
some of the world’s best wineries and golf courses – not to mention beaches and
patios. We even have our own lake monster!
The Newcap Radio
Okanagan Creative/Production team handles creative for K96.3 Kelowna’s Classic
Rock and Country 100.7 (Penticton, Kelowna, Vernon).
• Writing
commercials, sponsorship tags and specs campaigns
• Daily input of traffic instructions into Wide Orbit (local and national
clients)
• Working closely with reps, clients, programming and production
• Voicing spots (on occasion)
• Helping with production (on occasion)
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Diploma from a
recognizable Broadcast Program and/or commercial writing experience
• Strong written/communications, computer and interpersonal skills
• A good understanding of the radio process
• Excel at multi-tasking and prioritizing
• Thorough attention to detail (organization)
• Able to work well under pressure
• Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Demonstrate integrity and professionalism
