We are now in a
position to recruit a number of Server Engineers in a permanent capacity in our
Projects Team. These roles assist the Team in the delivery of various projects
through the provision of engineering support.
Responsibilities:
  • Provision of engineering services for a broad variety of
    projects
  • Provision of technical information for quotes and bids
  • Client liaison throughout the project lifecycle
  • Produce a variety of technical documentation for
    projects
  • Act as technical support for large projects as required
  • Actively contribute to collaboration and communication
    within your team
  • Act as a technical co-ordinator as required.
  • Assist BAU as required to resolve system related
    problems.
  • Interface with 3rd party support vendors for problem
    resolution.
  • Provide second level technical support for complex
    problems as required
  • Identification of problems related to product/service
    installation, update, configuration, operations, performance, or other
    aspects of information technology products and services (including
    detailed root cause analysis).
To be successful
in this role you will need:
  • Strong background in the IT industry
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification or equivalent 3+ years’
    experience in a large enterprise environment.
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • A current Security Clearance (NV1 or 2).
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers, workstations, MS Exchange,
    VMware, Citrix, MS SCCM, MS SCOM, antivirus and various other software
    applications.
  • Demonstrated Midrange and Storage operations experience.
  • Good understanding of application hosting virtual
    platforms and systems
  • Good understanding of IT Service Management concepts
  • Hands-on IT Infrastructure & Application
    troubleshooting ability
  • Good Infrastructure skills, particularly the integration
    and strategies behind modern Networking, Storage and Deployments.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as
    independently
  • Good time management skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Incident, Problem and
    Change Management disciplines, policies and standards, especially in
    relation to ITIL v3
  • Specialised Industry Qualifications such as MCSE or
    MCITP.
