1. INTRODUCTION
The National Cooperatives Confederation of Rwanda
(NCCR) is a Confederation founded on 28 October 2010 composed of Nine
Federations and was granted legal entity and the legal personality certificate
no RCA/1333/2010 of 22 December 2010 and published in Official
Gazette N° 25 of 20/06/2011.

Cooperative movement and protect the interest of its members in accordance with

Experience, Skills and Education
- The holder of this position must have a
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized University
preferably in Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Business
administration or related field - He/His must have a Minimum 3 year’s
professional experience, with regard to the working with Cooperatives, in
Managing, supervising and Monitoring and Evaluation. - Strong knowledge of Cooperative movement in
Rwanda in general and structures of Cooperatives and their functions in
particular; - Strong understanding of all aspects of the
contracting process — plus good commercial sense; Knowledge of issues
pertaining to Cooperatives - Good knowledge of Cooperative policy and
cooperative Law in Rwanda, and other national strategies of
cooperative development; - Good analytical and practical skills in
elaboration of capacity building programs and experience in organizing of
cooperatives - Demonstrated knowledge of and experience
leading household economic strengthening interventions such as
microenterprise development, value chain development, - Written and spoken Kinyarwanda and English is
a must and working knowledge of French would be an added advantage. - Computer skills in word, excel, processing and
other related software ; - He /she must also have ample experience in
public relations and be a strong team player. - Demonstrates high degree of honesty and
integrity, accountability and communicating information effectively
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the Implementation of all activities
which are in Empowering Youth trough an inclusive Cooperative Movement in
Rwanda Project and its follow up. - Mobilization and awareness of youth in
Cooperative movement - Prepare Monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Organize and conduct capacity building
initiatives Cooperative members to ensure that integration of members in
Cooperative respect Principles of Cooperatives - Organize and monitor the assessment of the
program to ensure quality and reliability of the information collected - Contribute to the development of Cooperatives,
production and dissemination of high quality information - Perform any other duty assigned to him/her
