National Electoral Commission Election Zone Coordinator Job Vacancy in Rwanda

The National Electoral Commission Is an Independent Government
financed institution charged with the preparation and conduct of all Elections
and training In the areas of Voter and Civic Education. The National Electoral
Commission wishes to recruit a suitable candidate to fill the position of
Election Zone coordinator MUSANZE-BURERA on a one year contractual arrangement.

Job Description of Election Zone Coordinator in the National
Electoral Commission

  • Proposing
    civic and voter Education activities to be implemented in the electoral
    zone;
  • Implementing
    and coordinating electoral activities in the electoral zone including
    civic and voter education programs;
  • Managing a
    database of all electoral staff including election volunteers in the
    electoral zone;
  • Proposing
    polling centers and stations to be used during elections;
  • Preparing
    and coordinating electoral staff training activities in the electoral
    zone;
  • Proposing
    number of electoral staff including election volunteers to be used during
    elections;
  • Managing
    budget allocated to the electoral zone for use in election activities;
  • Representing
    NEC in the electoral zones;
  • Liaising
    with district authorities in areas of civic education and public
    awareness;
  • Ensure
    good service delivery to NEC Partners
  • Preparing
    monthly, quarterly, and annual activity reports and submitting them to
    provincial coordinators;
  • Performing
    any other duties as may be ascribed to him/her by the National Electoral
    Commission authorities.

 Minimum Academic and professional experience required

A bachelors Degree in the following fields :

  • Public
    Administration
  • Management
  • Law
  • Political
    Science
  • Social
    Sciences
  • Humanities      
  • Education
    with at least 2 years experience in Election Management

 OR

  • A1 in
    Political sciences
  • Public
    Administration
  • Management
  • Law
  • Social
    Sciences
  • Humanities
  • Education
    with at least 3 years experience in Election Management Activities

Key competencies

  • Good
    interpersonal and leadership skills
  • A team
    Player
  • Proficiency
    in Kinyarwanda ,English and or French
  • immediate
    availability
