Shared Lives helps people to live family and community life to the full. It is used by thousands of older and disabled people and now has the opportunity to become a major part of the future of care and support. We need an experienced, inspiring communications and engagement officer to make this happen. We want to work more closely with Shared Lives carers and the older and disabled people they support to ensure that they participate more fully as members of NAAPS and that we have clear, positive messages about their work which are heard by government, the media and the public. We also need to market membership of NAAPS more fully. This high profile national job will involve travel across England.
NAAPS is the UK network for family-based and small-scale ways of supporting adults including Shared Lives (formerly Adult Placement), Homeshare and micro enterprise. We help our members to work together, providing them with support, training, events, resources, research and campaigning.
