Monforte Dairy is a small artisanal Dairy based in Stratford Ontario.
We are looking to fill 2 full time and 2 part ti
me jobs working
amongst the various farmers markets in and around the GTA.
We are looking for staff who want to work in the Toronto farmers
market community to help people make local food choices. In doing so
you will be a part of creating a more sustainable food system. Farmers
Market Staff must be organized, be able to think on their feet,
problem solve, and have the energy to tackle at least one 12 hour work
day a week.
Responsibilities as a Monforte Farmers market team member include:
• Driving company vehicle to and from market
• Loading and unloading of vehicles
• Set up and break down of market equipment
• Sampling cheese in adherence to public health regulations
• Providing the highest level of customer service to customers and vendors.
• Selling Cheese!
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
• Not shy away from a rainy day. Don’t worry you will be under a 10×10 tent
• Interest and knowledge in local food a plus
• Experience in retail or restaurants a plus
• Experience selling cheeses an asset
• Drivers license and experience driving an asset.
• The ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings,
evenings and weekends.
