The
Opportunity
The Principal
Specialist, Strategic Analytics is a new position within the University
designed to provide authoritative and expert advice to the President and
Vice-Chancellor across a broad range of strategic and operational matters
within the University. This is a highly influential position that will support
in identifying and shaping major business strategies and continuous business
improvement initiatives.
Liaising and working
with high level stakeholders within and external to the University, you will
conduct the research and analysis of local and global trends in higher
education, using this information to ensure Monash has a best practice approach
to various initiatives, protecting and heightening Monash’s position as a
leading top 100 university, and ensuring its ability to achieve key strategic
goals.
In addition, your
focus will be to review new opportunities and analyse strategic rationale for
market growth initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and driving these
improvement suggestions and subsequent projects. Working closely with the
eSolutions Information Management team and other departments, you will present
specialist reports and briefs on complex and sensitive issues with a
University-wide impact.
With a background in
policy or commercially focused positions, you will be a proven leader with an
eye for setting, managing and driving strategic directions. Project management,
analysis and reporting to formulate recommendations, you will have highly
developed problem solving skills and be well versed in presenting and
communicating trends and insights at all levels of business, influencing
decisions through thorough, well researched recommendations. A sound knowledge
of issues confronting the Australian education system and university sector is
highly desirable.
