Key Responsibilities:
Ensure punctuality and availability to clients at all times;
Offer services to customers according to laid down procedures;
Assist customers in filling forms that need to be completed;
Advice customers on fees payable;
Ensure all customers request are executed immediately and followed up regularly so as to honor commitments made to customers;
Capture customer information in system. promptly to enable quick and accurate services;
Promote the use of electronic medium (ATM’S, internet banking etc);
Identify close selling opportunities and pass leads to sales consultants; portray a professional image;
Ensure proper identification of customers;
Ensure fees are collected ion terms of the prevailing tariff guide;
Ensure warning circulars and stop payments are immediately acted upon; Ensure returned/Unpaid cheques are processed and handled over to customers as soon as possible;
Adhere to necessary controls measures to prevent theft and fraud;
Maintain and control applicable registers;
Maintain and refer to customer cheque lists as required;
Adhere to procedures for protecting your own user ID and passwords;
Build awareness keep up to date and comply with KYC and AML Regulations; Ensure customer information is kept confidential and only released to the right persons;
Adhere to all control measures (checks. dual control) in respect of cheque book libraly, fixed deposit receipts., ATM Cards, controlled stationery, destruction of security documents etc;
Execute flagging of lost cards, stop payments and other instructions promptly;
Assist with Audit queries/requests;
Ensure customer mandates are always kept up to date;
Ensure customer information and signatures are up-to-date promptly in the system
Execute daily routines;
Ensure the book room is neat and orderly arranged;
Keep updated of all circulars, manuals and policies; proactively identify personal development areas and training needs;
Understand/operate bankers’ rearm and equipments; and
Handling strong room keys in the absence of Branch Manager
Requirements:
Qualifications & experience required:
Bachelors Degree/Advanced Diploma in Business Administration. Marketing or any related qualifications
Excellent communication skills (Writing and speaking) Minimum of 3 years working experience in banking industry
Competency in using Excel word and advanced spreadsheet analysis is an added advantage.
