1.1.Job Purpose
•Support all company applications
•1st line support on mainframe related systems i.e
Cicsp, Bluezone, VDI etc
•Configuration of desktops, scanners/ printers
•Troubleshooting Network connectivity escalating to
Network Engineer
•General Hardware Installation & troubleshooting
1.1.1.Active Directory
•Escalate all active directory issues to 2nd line
support via web helpdesk
1.1.2.Citrix
•Citrix installation & troubleshooting as well
as occasional account management
1.1.3.Symantec Antivirus Client & Server
•Installation & troubleshooting, monitoring definition
updates on servers & clients
1.1.4.BCP/ DRP
•Working in conjunction with the center(HO) to
implement & maintain Metropolitan Botswana’s BCP & DRP process
1.2.Qualifications and Experience
•A recognized tertiary qualification in IT
•At least 5 years experience in IT desktop support
•Knowledge of Operations & IT in insurance –
based financial services sector
•Comprehensive technical experience across
applications in order to support business needs
