Pipeline Engineer
West (Singapore) – International Business Park
Responsibilities:
• Perform conceptual and detailed analysis and design for offshore submarine pipelines and risers.
• Engineering design consists of front end engineering, detail design, procurement assistance for subsea pipelines and associated fittings, risers, riser clamps and subsea PLEM/Skid.
• To carry out subsea pipeline design including wall thickness design, on-bottom stability analysis and coating design, free span analysis, thermal expansion analysis, lateral buckling analysis, bottom roughness analysis, cathodic protection design, riser design and VIV analysis, riser clamps design, PLEM design, pipelay analysis, pipeline routing, MTO, etc.
• To prepare pipeline specifications for line pipes, pipe fittings, coatings, installation, etc.
• To prepare data sheets, technical requisitions and to carry out technical bid evaluation and review of vendor data.
• Liaisons with lead draftsman to coordinate drawing production.
• Be familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule and all inter-discipline requirements; including identifying issue(s) and taking appropriate initiatives to address them
Requirements:
• A good Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) as a minimum.
• At least 2 years of design experience in offshore engineering for Oil and Gas Industries.
• Experience in pipeline mechanical design, preparation of specifications and data sheets.
• Familiar with offshore pipeline engineering codes and standards.
• Flexible working attitudes and availability to work outside normal working hours if required
• Able to travel on overseas assignment from time to time as required by the Company
• Possess logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Possess good interpersonal and communications skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to originate and adapt to new ideas. Able to work without supervision. Ability to step up and take ownership of specific team efforts. Able to proactively champion technical issues and see them through to completion. Able to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
• Expertise in CAESER II, OFFPIPE, Autocad and Finite Element Software shall be treated as an additional advantage.
