Manchester Business School of Manchester University
is offering MBA scholarships for international students. The scholarships are
awarded across different categories. The scholarships are awarded as part
of the admissions process, normally at the same time as an offer is
made. These MBA scholarships are competitive and awarded to the
strongest candidates. Each scholarship ranges from £5,000 to
£20,000 except, Manchester Excellence Scholarships (2 full
scholarships worth £38,800 each) and Young Potential Leaders Scholarships
(up to £25,000). To be considered for a Manchester Business School
scholarship applicants will need to submit a complete application for
the Full-time MBA.

Eligibility: For
Manchester Merit Scholarships:
-The most outstanding MBA applicants identified during the admissions process.
-A minimum GMAT of 600 or equivalent GRE.
-Women in Business Scholarships: Female candidates with excellent academic,
professional and personal achievements and strong leadership ability.
– Professional Services Scholarship:
Candidates able to demonstrate good academic credentials and outstanding
achievements and career progression, working for an internationally recognised
professional services company (global leader), in one of the following roles:
management consultant, accountant/auditor, architect, legal professional. This
award is not open to IT consultants.
Entrepreneurship Scholarship: Candidates with professional careers in
entrepreneurship, demonstrating outstanding achievement in entrepreneurial
careers with exceptional entrepreneurial flair creating and running a
successful or growing business venture(s).
Marketing Professionals Scholarship: Candidates able to demonstrate good
academic credentials and outstanding professional experience and achievements
in marketing management roles for international brands or organisations.
Energy Sector Scholarship: Candidates able to demonstrate good academic
credentials and outstanding professional experience and achievements, currently
working in a senior role for a multi-national energy/oil & gas company.
Military Leaders Scholarship: Manchester Business School has a long and
successful history working with officers looking to move into new careers in
non-military organisations. Our MBA alumni from the armed forces have been
particularly successful in transferring their leadership skills to very
successful post-forces careers.
Eligibility Criteria: Open to UK/European (EEA) permanent residents with
previous or current experience as officers in the armed forces. Candidates must
have strong communication and networking skills, leadership characteristics and
a commitment to promoting social and corporate responsibility in
British/European society.
Manchester Excellence Scholarships: EU or EEA permanent residents with
outstanding academic, professional and personal achievements and strong
leadership ability.
To be considered, you need to be a EU or EEA permanent resident with indefinite
leave to remain in the EU or EEA and also have been ‘ordinarily’ resident in
the EU or EEA (i.e. the EU or EEA is your main place of residence) for a
consecutive period of three years prior to the start of the Full-time MBA
programme (26 August 2014).
Inspirational Leaders Scholarships: Inspirational leaders who meet the criteria
below.
-Young Potential Leaders Scholarships: The most outstanding applicants
identified during the MBA Young Potential Leaders admissions process.
Scholarship Open for International Students: International, EU and EEA students can apply for these
MBA scholarships.
Scholarship Description: To support our MBA admissions strategy to recruit a diverse class of
outstandingly talented and creative candidates from all over the world,
Manchester Business School offers financial aid in the form of merit-based
scholarships. Most of the scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis and
therefore candidates who apply early in the admissions rounds may have a
stronger opportunity to receive an award. The scholarships are awarded as part
of the admissions process, normally at the same time as an offer is
made. The scholarships are awarded across different categories: Merit
Scholarships, Women in Business Scholarships, Professional Services
Scholarship, Entrepreneurship Scholarship, Manchester Excellence Scholarships,
Young Potential Leaders Scholarships and Marketing Professionals Scholarship
etc.
Number of award(s): Around 25 students in each MBA Class will be supported.
What does it cover? Each scholarship ranges from £5,000 to £20,000 except,
-Manchester Excellence Scholarships: 2 full scholarships (£38,800)
-Young Potential Leaders Scholarships: up to £25,000.
Selection Criteria: The scholarships are competitive and awarded to the strongest
candidates. There are specific criteria for each scholarship, therefore please
review the individual scholarship information. As well as the specific criteria
for each scholarship, there are general criteria which apply to all
scholarships.
-Excellent performance across all of the Full-time MBA admission criteria
-Potential to contribute and enrich all aspects of the MBA programme and the
diverse professional and cultural profile and experience of the MBA class.
-Strong values and ethics and preferably able to demonstrate contribution to
society/communities in roles outside of the workplace.
-Potential to become an outstanding future alumni ambassador and contribute
positively back to the School, organizations and communities.
