Management and treatment of tuberculosis

World
Health Organisation (WHO) (2003) recommends the short course directly observed
therapy (DOTS) which consist of two (2) moths of insoniazed, rafampicin,
pyrazimanide and eltambutol given daily following four months of isoniazed
refampicin given thrice weekly.

Also
good rest of mind, feeding, adequate fresh air in every stage in the early
stage. David (1995) stated that the chemotherapeutical management include drugs
like
·        
Streptomycin injection
·        
Isionazide (IHN) pills
·        
Pyrazyramide pills.
Along
with these facts Maryn (2007) recommends the treatment as follows:
·        
Prophylazis
·        
General measures such as environmental sanitation and health education.
However
there are some specific measures which include:
·        
Chemotherapy
·        
Surgical intervention
Landam
(2003) said that smear positive patients require a short course of
chemotherapy.
