Diploma in Public
Health and at least 2 yrs experience as Senior Environmental Health Officer
Will be reporting to the director
To deputise the
director, Plan, organise, implement, coordinate and manage outreach activities
that include health, related issues for orphans and vulnerable children
including hygiene of buildings in the project area, Liaise with government
departments an
d other NGOs working the District on issues of environmental
Health activities and projects in the catchment area, Interpret policies and
regulations on environmental health, Prepare estimates and budget for outreach
activities, Act as a Health focal person and facilitate the overall process of
collecting, analyzing, disseminating the information and making their
sufficient use in planning and management of health services in the project
area, Ensure proper and timely analysis of information and their dissemination
to all relevant stakeholders in the area, Assist the Director in conducting
annual performance review and producing annual health performance report,
Organise meetings and in-service training of Environmental Health programs to
volunteers and caregivers, Train communities and support them in disease
control, maintenance of water and sanitation systems, Any other duties deemed
reasonable for the post
