Background
The lmbuto Foundation is a non-profit-making
organization in accordance with law N°20/2000 of July 26th, 2000 governing
non-profit-making organizations. The lmbuto Foundation´s vision is: a nation
of empowered and dignified Rwandans. The Imbuto Foundation´s mission is: to
support the development of healthy, educated and prosperous society.
1. M&E Officer
Contract Type: Full Time
Contract Duration: Two years
Duties and responsibilities
The M&E Officer will discharge his/her duties
within the Imbuto Foundation. The incumbent will report on a day to day basis
to the Head of PMER unit, and overall guidance of the Director General.
Scope of work
- Support the effective application of project
implementation, monitoring and evaluation took;
- Develop monitoring and evaluation templates
and simple reporting tools for management control;
- Review existing tools and propose effective
tools for projects´ target setting and reporting process;
- Collect and analyze data to measure the
actual performance of a program, process or activity against expected
results;
- Carry out routine tracking of information on
a program/project and its intended outputs and outcomes;
- Facilitate knowledge building of the Imbuto
Foundation staff in the area of monitoring and evaluation, focusing on
achievement of the following results;
Required skills and experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a
development related field, i.e. Education, Management, Social Sciences
and
- Project Management. Masters degree will be
an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in
project management;
- Hands-on experience in monitoring and
evaluation of development projects;
- Excellent writing skills and computer
literate;
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English and a good
working knowledge of French is an asset.
2. Executive Assistant
Duties and responsibilities
The Executive Assistant will:
- Be in charge of the central secretariat at
Imbuto Foundation;
- Organize the documentation of the
institution;
- Receive visitors and make necessary
arrangements;
- Preparation of meetings to be held at Imbuto
Foundation;
- Manage office supplies;
- Write and transmit reports.
- Other duties as assigned
Required skills and experience
- Bachelors Degree in secretariat or related
field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience
- Excellent writing skills and computer
literate;
- Fluent English and Kinyarwanda. A good
working knowledge of French is an asset.
3. Project Coordinator
Duties and responsibilities
The Project Coordinator will lead the project and
discharge his/her duties within the Imbuto Foundation. The incumbent will
report on a day to day basis to the Head of Unit of the Socio-Economic
Development unit and under the overall guidance of the Director General.
Under its Socio-Economic Development Unit, Imbuto Foundation seeks to pilot
an Education project that curbs high dropout rates and impacts school
completion. We would like to recruit a Project Coordinator who will lead the
project and discharge his/her duties within Imbuto Foundation.
The incumbent will report on a day to day basis to the Head of Unit under the
overall guidance of the Director General.
Scope of work
- Represent the project in different
stakeholder and strategic meetings, work-shops, conferences — locally
and abroad;
- Draw up an overall work-plan and budget for
the project;
- Put in place a system which links strategic
information obtained from various data collection systems to decisions
that improve project delivery;
- Design M&E plan, tools and reporting
mechanism for M&E and reporting to donors and partners;
- Supervise the implementation of project
activities and develop monitoring and evaluation tools as outlined in
the work-plan;
- Collect data to measure the actual performance
of a program, process or ac-tivity against expected results;
- Monitor the progress of the work-plan and
contribute to programmatic and financial analysis of planned vs. actual
achievements;
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly,
mid-year and year-end reporting and set annual baselines/ indicators
& targets of project activities;
- Advise on strategic issues related to the
projects and facilitate the formulation of new project activities;
- Any other tasks assigned by Imbuto
Foundation
Competencies

- Ability to perform a variety of specialized
tasks related to Results Management, including support for design,
planning and implementation of programs, man-aging data, reporting;

Required skills and experience
- Masters Degree in Education or equivalent in
a development related field, with a minimum experience of 3 years
in project management; or a bachelor´s degree in Education with a
minimum experience of 7 years in project management.
- Hands on experience in monitoring and
evaluation of development projects;
- Excellent writing skills and computer
literate;
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English. A good
working knowledge of French is also an asset.
