The Langford Conservancy is seeking a student to assisting with the
restoration of the Langford Schoolhouse, which is a 100 year old
building. The work would include foundation repair, installing weeping
tile around the outside of the building, using a backhoe, repointing
the bricks and repairing and resurfacing concrete steps.
You will work under the supervision of a professional mason, and
carpenter. You may also be helping with the installation of a ramp and
some painting.
The position is for 30 hr per week for 8 wks at $11 per hour.
Accommodation with wifi and free long-distance phone, on an organic
farm can be provided as well as lunch.
The Langford Schoolhouse is approximately 7 km east of Brantford.
Applicants must be full time students who are returning to full time
studies in the fall. We are seeking someone who is a self-starter, has
their own transportation and who has some experience in this line of
work.
