Virtual Way, Vancouver, BC V5M 4X6 requires a Manager, Water Resources &
Environment to support the growth of our Mining Environmental Group. In
this role you will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of
water resources and environmental professionals, servicing clients in the
mining, water supply and oil and gas sectors across North America, Australasia,
Africa, Europe and South America.

managerial work.

- oversee
water resource projects including data collection, hydrologic and
hydraulic investigations and design, construction documentation, client
and regulatory liaison - oversee
environmental assessment projects including baseline studies, effects
assessment, development of mitigation and management plans, and
regulatory permitting - participate
in and/or lead contract negotiations for designated projects and clients - undertake
project management and client management duties, and complete reports and
presentations - develop
and supervise direct reports including the signing of timesheets and
expense claims, assignment of work tasks, checking of work - conduct
career development meetings for direct reports - recruit
and make hiring decisions for the Water Resources and Environmental
departments - implement
policies and procedures appropriate to the Water Resources and
Environmental departments - work
in collaboration with other departmental managers - provide
support with marketing and business development, sustain client
relationships and develop new business - provide
technical guidance on projects as required, particularly larger
engineering and environmental studies - travel
domestically and internationally to meet project needs

is a full-time, permanent role and we expect to offer a salary in the range of
$110,000 to $130,000 per year based on the successful candidate’s educational
background and experience. Our benefits include extended health, vision
care and dental coverage, RRSP contribution, life and disability insurance.

Qualifications:
If
you have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil (or related) Engineering, are registered
or able to register as a Professional Engineer, and have a minimum of 15 years
of experience in water resource management , design and construction
