ensuring that our produce is packed with the highest quality and standards, and
sort packed produce for orders (to restaurants, grocery stores, caterers and
farmers’ markets) quickly and efficiently. This position requires a reliable
individual who can commit to xx days each week. We are looking for the
queen/king of multi-tasking. This person must pay meticulous attention to
detail, be flexible, have a positive attitude and is able to get
along/train/manage others!

• Coordinate
  with Farm Manager daily to determine harvest needs.
• Train
  and manage multiple volunteers/WWOOFERS
• Work
  at a fast pace, with minimal supervision, within time limits
• Develop
  new ideas and new efficiencies to streamline our systems and processes
• Package,
  weigh, sort and pack produce for orders (to restaurants, grocery stores,
  caterers and farmers’ markets)

• Positive
  attitude and ability to get along well with others.
• You
  will be on your feet for a large portion of your shift. Good endurance is
  important. Some heavy lifting will be required (30-50lbs)
• Ability
  to multi-task and think clearly in hectic situations; ability to
  prioritize needs and tasks.
• Things
  don’t always go according to the plan. Adaptability and flexibility are
  key to this role.
• We
  work as a team. You must be reliable and a team-player. We are looking for
  someone who will give and receive positive and constructive feedback.
• Strong
  communication skills
• Excellent
  judgment and attention to detail.
• Some
  basic computer work may be needed.
• Safe
  Food Handling Certificate/Skills/Experience would be an asset
• Interest
  in organic agriculture and/or commitment to the local food movement would
  be an asset.
