Kigali Health institute Business Development Limited has the following vacant
positions:
1)
Dental Surgeon/Coordinator Dental Clinic. (1 post)
Job Summary:
Coordination of day
to day activities in the dental clinic. Clinical management of clients and
support supervision of full time dental staff and Internists. Reports to the
Managing Director, KHIBD Limited and Dean, UR-CMHS School of Dentistry.
Duties:
1. Clinical
a) Consults and
treats all cases assigned/referred to his or her care
b) Refers cases to
specialist for further care
c) Support
supervision of dental therapists/in the clinic.
d) Supervision of
internists/volunteers.
e) Plan, organize
and coordinate CPD activities for Dental Clinic staff.
f) Participate in
consultancy, training and research activities.
2. Coordination
a) Liaise with the
Finance and Administration Manager and UR-CMHS School of Dentistry in the
management of clinical services, clinical training/supervision activities, and
continuing professional development programmes.
b) Develop and
enforce compliance with policies and procedures.
c) Support
supervision of dental clinic staff to ensure service deliver/ in a manner
consistent with professional /ethical standards and objectives of the dental
clinic.
d) Coordinate supply
and maintenance chain activities for the clinic through the procurement officer
e) Evaluate and
monitor the effectiveness of services provided, and in collaboration with
staff, devise quality assurance and improvement measures.
The ideal
candidate must:
a) Hold a Bachelor
of Dental Surgery degree or equivalent from a reputable university with a
minimum of 2 years post internship experience in clinical and administrative
roles, be registered or eligible for registration with the Rwanda Medical and
Dental Council and possess a certificate of good standing.
b) Be professionally
competent with a bias for Endodontics, Prosthordontics and Orthodontics
c) Possess a
Postgraduate diploma or degree in hospital administration, Business management
or entrepreneurship.
d) Be teachable,
Innovative, creative, problem solver and a lifelong learner
e) demonstrate
effective communication, good planning, Interpersonal and organization skills.
f) Be self
motivated, client focused, able to work under pressure and for long hours
Ability to communicate verbally and In writing in English, Kinyarwanda, Swahili
and/or French will be an added advantage.
2)
Dental Chairside assistant (A2). (1 post)
Job-summary:
To provide oral
health education, periodontal therapy and preventive care to clients assigned
to them lay reception.
Duties
a) Responsible for
the organization and order in assigned wing), requisition for items needed from
the store and stocking of the wing(s) with required materials and instruments
b) Ensure wing(s)
under his or her care have adequate supplies of materials, consumables and
instruments to ensure uninterrupted clinical procedures.
c) Prepare set up
trays and materials required for the procedures to be performed.
d) Call patients
into the wing and prepares them for consultation and treatment
e) Assist the dental
surgeon/therapist during procedures by providing suction, passing of
instruments, mixing materials or holding of equipment.
f) Carry out
infection control procedures in the wing between each patient and prepare for
the next patient.
g) Ensures that
aseptic techniques are adhered tout all times within the wing before , during
and after all procedures.
h) Disinfect, clean
and sterilize instruments used during procedures and distribute instruments to
respective wings
i) Communicate with
the reception any delays or changes in the appointment schedules
j) Participates in
the health education to patients.
k) Adheres to the
professional code and ethics.
l) Performs any
other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Person
specifications. The Ideal applicants Must:
a) Be an A1/A2
certificate holder In nursing with a minimum of 2 years working experience In a
busy dental clinic or surgical environment.
b) Be able to
communicate verbally and In writing In, English, Kinyarwanda, French and or
Swahili
c) Demonstrate
effective communication, good planning, and organization interpersonal skills.
d) Be self
motivated, client focused, able to work under pressure and furlong hours
e) Maximum age 35
years old
3)
Principal Cashier
Job summary
Responsible for
collection of receiving all receivable monies, book keeping functions related
to Income and expenditures of the clinic and banking of all monies collected.
Reports to the accountant.
Duties
a) Check insurance
companies’ tariffs and authorizations and advise patients accordingly.
b) Correctly bill
clients using the procedure codes and receipt all payments.
c) Verify that all
insurance forms are correctly filled and signed.
d) Make error
corrections on insurance invoices within 24 hours
e) Perform daily
cash counts and surprise cash counts
f) Bank cash
revenues on KHIBD account within 24 hours of receipts.
g) Accurately prepare
and consolidate daily reports on daily and monthly basis for submission to the
accountant.
h) Reconciliation of
all cash transactions with reports and bank deposits.
i) Share billing
knowledge procedures with all staff to ensure compliance
j) Petty cash
management and reporting.
k) Any other duties
assigned by the finance and administration manager consistent finance related
activities and mission of the clinic.
Person
specifications.
The Ideal applicants
must:
a) Possess an Al
diploma in accounting with Accounting Technicians Certificate and 3 years
experience Or A1 diploma In accounting undertaking professional courses (CPA
part 11 or ACA part II) and 3 years experience.
b) Be familiar with
medical records (open clinic, open MRS) and accounting software (Excel,
Quickbooks,) will be an added advantage.
c) Be able to
communicate verbally and In writing In English, Kinyarwanda, French/Swahili
d) Demonstrate
effective communication, good planning, and organization interpersonal skills.
e) Be teachable,
innovative, creative, problem solver and a lifelong learner
f) Maximum age 35
