Key
responsibilities include:

- Implement
and monitor IT risk policies within the banks broader risk management
framework. - Play
a key role in developing risk strategies in order to identify,
monitor and control IT risks. - Challenge
and influence key stakeholders around the appropriateness and benefits of
IT risk management. - Work
closely with the line 1 technology risk teams; helping them to understand
key risks, providing training and advice on policies and best practice,
and providing assistance regarding technology changes. - Play
a key role as a subject matter expert in terms of the assessment of IT
risk management within the groups broader risk management framework. - Report
on the firms IT risk profile and compliance with relevant regulatory
requirements, and management policies.
Suitable
candidates require the following skill set:

- University
educated, with a relevant degree in Business, Computer Science/Security. - At
least 10 years of experience in an equivalent Head of IT Risk Management,
or Head of IT Audit appointment. - Deep
understanding of regulatory obligations pertaining to information
technology. - Significant
experience and understanding of ITIL and COBIT within the financial
services industry. - Sound
understanding of both IT application and IT infrastructure domains. - Excellent
relationship management skills, with the ability to influence key
stakeholders, and affect change. - Excellent
verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to a
wide audience including senior management.
