Quality Assurance Technician
We are seeking a self-motivated, team player to assume the role of Quality Assurance Technician in our London facility. This position will primarily be on the off shifts but requires the flexibility to work shifts on days, afternoons or nights as required as well as weekend work and overtime. The ideal candidate will have a University Degree/College Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, or closely related discipline, with experience in microbiology, chemistry, quality control systems, and be familiar with HACCP, with a minimum of 2 years experience in food technology or food processing. Intermediate knowledge of PC software including Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office is essential. SAP knowledge is an asset. The successful candidate will have good communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle a heavy work schedule with minimal supervision.
The Quality Assurance Technician position is responsible for inspection, sampling and routine testing of raw material, work in progress and finished goods using the appropriate wet or instrumentation chemistry techniques. Other duties include non conformance investigations, reports and dispositions, participation in pre op and sanitation inspections, shift reports and other QA related tasks as necessary.
