COURT – EDMONTON, AB
The Schizophrenia
Society of Alberta (SSA) is proud to announce our new housing program, Iris
Court. It provides support staff 24 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 21
tenant
s. Iris Court; located in the Bonnie Doon area of Edmonton, is currently
hiring for a Cook.
Iris Court has a
completely renovated kitchen waiting for the right person to assume the duties
of Casual (weekend) Cook. The duties include the ability to supervise all
cooking, produce storage management, and preparing a healthy, approved menu. As
well as maintaining kitchen cleanliness, the applicant should have knowledge of
portioning and be able to prepare meals according to an established meal plan
and maintain the Standards of Supportive Living Requirements. Preference will
be given to those who have a Food Handling Certificate.
Qualifications:
- Min
3 years dietary experience preferably in the health field - Food
Handling Certificate - Criminal
records check - Ability
to work independently on weekends - Follow
kitchen cleaning processes - Have
knowledge of meal portioning - Fluency
in English, comprehend written and oral instruction - WHIMIS/First
Aid - Cook
credentials considered an asset - Rotational
schedule with varying hours
It is essential to
have the ability to keep all tenant matters strictly confidential and exercise
courtesy and cooperation towards the tenants.
For this position,
SSA offers a starting salary of $20.00
per hour.
