Germany, developing an innovative and cost-efficient fully automated vehicle
rental and key control solution for public and private sector vehicle fleets as
well as car-sharing and rental car organizations worldwide.  We have been

ving customers in the United States and Canada since 2002.

We are looking for a self-directed
individual who thrives in a result-focused working environment to take an
active role in our customer & system support unit as we expand our North
America office, located in Burnaby, BC.  You will be working together with
our support and development staff both locally and in Germany to serve our
North American customer base.
You must demonstrate excellent
verbal and written communication skills, and be willing to take on new
challenges as they arise.  An interest in programming, while not required
for this position, would be greatly beneficial for future opportunities and
growth within the organization.  Occasionally you will have the
opportunity to travel throughout North America for system installations and
customer training, as well as to INVERS in Germany for training and knowledge
exchange.
Primary Responsibilies include:
  • Hardware
    & Software Customer Support, both onsite and remotely
  • Hosting
    farm support, monitoring and 24/7 emergency support
  • System
    testing and debugging, and communication with our R&D team
  • Planning
    and implementation of customer projects (for example, migrating existing
    customers from our legacy Access database software system to our new
    .Net/SQL based system)
  • Software
    projects (eg interfaces to third party systems, reports)
Required Skills, Abilities and
Experience:
  • Post-secondary
    education required
  • Knowledge
    of and proficiency in MS Office, operating systems, server hosting, PCs,
    and data communication systems (e.g. GSM, GPRS, LAN/WiFi, TCP/IP).
  • Ability
    to solve problems under time pressure with frequent interruptions and work
    effectively in a variety of roles.
  • Excellent
    customer service, verbal and written communication skills.  Fluency
    in English is essential, knowledge of German is an asset but not required.
  • Ability
    to learn and absorb new information both technical and procedural, and
    disseminate it to end-users who have varying degrees of computing skills.
  • Ability
    to travel within Canada, to the USA and Germany.
  • Familiarity
    with Microsoft Access and MS SQL server, Tableau, and programming (.NET,
    in particular WCF & ASF.NET web services) is a plus.
  • Previous
    customer support experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge
    and hands-on experience with electronics, in particular
    in-vehicle/on-board telematics equipment installation is a plus.
  • Project
    management experience would be an asset.
